About the Event

How are fruit flies helping us understand chronic pain? Find out at our upcoming event with Dr Olga Baron, where she will be presenting her research Dr Baron is a Neuroscience Research Fellow at the Wolfson Centre for Age-Related Diseases, a part of KCL's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. Dr Baron is fundamentally interested in maintenance of nervous system homeostasis in healthy ageing. She uses multi-model approach to understand compensatory mechanisms for coping with sustained stress which include persisting functional consequences, such as neuronal over-sensitivity and vulnerability. As NC3R fellow, Dr Baron aims to provide a novel fruit fly models for studies on chronic pain.
